About this training

Led by an experienced interpreter who has worked with numerous Community Sponsorship groups, this session will provide you with valuable tips and essential insights on how to effectively use interpreters to communicate with the family you welcome through Community Sponsorship.

We often think that working with interpreters is something we all naturally understand, but effective communication with an interpreter is a skill in itself. This course will explore the nuances of interpreting and cultural differences, with a special focus on key topics that require interpretation, especially during the crucial first week of supporting the family.
