The presenter was very responsive and could give examples from both acting as an official paid interpreter and a volunteer. She was open to questions and had an excellent knowledge base and could give practical suggestions.

We often think that working with interpreters is something we all naturally understand, but effective communication with an interpreter is a skill in itself. This course will explore the nuances of interpreting and cultural differences, with a special focus on key topics that require interpretation, especially during the crucial first week of supporting the family.
